Q. What are your Opening Times
A. Normal working hours are 9am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday
Wedding consultations can also be accommodated during evenings and weekends to suit your schedule.
Q. How much notice is needed to order a cake?
A. We generally require ten days notice for celebration cakes; however this will increase to two weeks if you require a Fruit Cake.
For Wedding cakes please allow a minimum of 6 weeks to ensure availability
Occasionally last minute orders can be accommodated so please get in touch to see if we can fit you in.
Q. Do I pay a deposit?
A. A 25% non refundable deposit is required at the time of order with the balance of monies due on delivery or collection. Wedding Cake balances are due two weeks in advance of the wedding date.
Q. Do you deliver ?
A. Yes - Free to within a 5 mile radius of Bristol City Centre or within 5 miles of our Backwell base - outside of this area prices for delivery will be quoted on an individual basis.
Q. How do I pay for my Cake?
A. Payment can be made direct to us using a cheque or postal order made payable to Cake Matters. Alternatively we are able to accept secure payments using credit or debit card via PayPal or Google Checkout.
Q What if I change my mind after I have ordered?
A. Quite simply contact us and we will deal with your alteration immediately.
Q. How should I care for my Cake?
A. Cakes should be stored in a cool dry room and not refrigerated until after they have been cut. Sponge, Chocolate and Carrot cake will keep for one week after delivery. Fruitcake lasts perfectly well, wrapped in foil, for months but not years.
