Terms & Conditions

• A 25% non refundable deposit is required at the time of order with the balance of monies due on delivery or collection. Wedding Cake balances are due two weeks in advance of the wedding date.
• Any alterations to the original order must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. Late amendments to orders are often possible and every effort will be made to accommodate changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.
• Corrections and repairs to cakes, including inscription mistakes, can be corrected on the same day in most cases. You are required to give us this opportunity and must let us know of the problem within one hour of accepting your cake
• Return of hired equipment is the responsibility of the customer unless specifically agreed otherwise.
• Hired equipment is charged out initially for 3 days i.e. if the event is on a Saturday then the equipment must be returned by the Monday. Any hire items which are overdue are subject to be charged at the full daily rate of hire and the hire fees may be subtracted from the deposit.
• Damage or loss to hired equipment may result in the loss of the security deposit and full replacement costs may also be charged to the customer.
• In the event of cancellation, any work already completed is chargeable.  Deposits cannot be returned except under exceptional circumstances.
• The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake. Further compensation is not available
• When taking delivery of your order you will be required to sign a form stating that the cake has been received in perfect order. If the cake is being set up at a venue such as a hotel, Cake Matters will require a signature from someone at the venue once delivery and / or set up has been completed.  Please let your venue co-ordinator know. Once the order has been signed for Cake Matters will no longer be responsible in the event of accident, damage etc. by a third party.
• By placing an order with Cake matters, either through our website, over the telephone, or by any other medium you are agreeing to these terms
• All photos and Images created and displayed on this web-site remain the property of Cake Matters.
